Seychelles Shines at Colours of the World Expo in Istanbul!

It was an eventful and inspiring two days of meetings and meaningful cultural connections at the Colours of the World Expo, held from 18th to 20th April at the Dr. Mimar Kadir Topbaş Performance and Arts Centre in Istanbul, Turkey.

Thanks to the invitation and support of Tourism Seychelles, the Seychelles National Institute for Culture, Heritage and the Arts, together with the Seychelles National Youth Council, proudly represented Seychelles at this vibrant international event.

This event marked the first international appearance of the Seychelles Cultural Encounters platform—seychellesculturalencounters.com—highlighting its growing role in promoting Seychelles’ cultural identity on the global stage.

Our vibrant team included representatives from the Tourism Department and a dynamic group of Seychellois youth—dancers and musicians—who brought the heartbeat of the islands to Istanbul. Their performances of traditional Creole music and dance captivated audiences and showcased the living heritage of Seychelles.

These two days underscored the vital role culture plays in diplomacy, tourism, and youth engagement, reinforcing Seychelles’ commitment to sharing its unique cultural heritage with the world.
